How did people react to the Stamp Act?
Once the Stamp Act was put into place, people all over the 13 colonies began protests for the unfairness of the Stamp Act. Everyone knew they were paying taxes to the British for products without having any representation in the government of the Parliament. Because all of the colonies were affected they began working as a whole. They created secret organizations to rebel against, and harass "Stamp Act" collectors. The organizations were all over the thirteen colonies and were called the Sons of Liberty and the Daughters of Liberty.
Both of these secret organizations later joined each other to continue their rebellion.
